"I did not expect that his works were created exclusively of tape, it's amazing the simplicity of his works and how to remain faithful to the shape of the body reassembled the cast. He sharpened a simple technique fast and accurate, we see that it does for many years and is very clear in teaching.
It 'really great to be working with an artist of this caliber and to me such an esteemed and every morning I can not wait to start. "... So we told Sofia, an assistant who is working in the Atelier with Mark.
Who is Mark Jenkins ? ... definitely for me a genius, but many will say that I'm biased
American ... it's just an artist born in 1970, who delights us with his sculptures often born and realized through the use of the tape ... Tape Art. Today I want to talk about his last performance, he sees me in the protagonist, expected in the coming days ... right between October 18 and November 8, on Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Milan. It will be a photographic exhibition on the theme: Vienna on display on the streets of Milan, but also a journey of the senses ... as stated by the Vienna Tourist Board (event organizer).
The photo gallery, illuminated at night, includes 30 beautiful images of Vienna, its customs and its main attractions and will be divided into five different categories corresponding to the five senses to which refers the campaign: hear, see, taste, hear and smell .
And Mark? What will your task? Well! Simple, his being eclectic, will serve to give a hint of irony and creativity to this show ... The artist, true to the theme of the campaign, will build five different installations, connected to so many images, each of which represent one of the five senses.
So what to say ... I can only invite you to this performance that will surely talk!
I'll be there ... I will be present together with the boys to Feel Desain , to make our contribution, even critical and most importantly, to the great Mark!
Below is a brief preview of the Kiss of Klimt revisited by Mark ... you will see the beautiful!
I'll be waiting!
